SHMS was commissioned to review the current marketing of the Wye Valley Walk and to make recommendations regarding future requirements. In particular this included aspects such as accessibility and interpretation. The project was undertaken by SHMS for the Wye Valley Walk Liaison Group which includes Officers from the Councils through which the Walk passes (Monmouthshire, Herefordshire, Powys etc) the Wye Valley AONB Office, the Countryside Council for Wales and the Environment Agency.
Powys County Council also commissioned SHMS to design a new display map panel showing the route of the Wye Valley Walk to Hafren Forest from Rhayader. The display is located at Rhayader Tourist Information Centre.

More recently we have also designed thirteen new interpretation panels for key locations on the Wye Valley Walk in Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.

SHMS researched, designed and produced the latest Accommodation and Services Guide for the Wye Valley Walk. The booklet was undertaken for the Wye Valley Walk Partnership which consists of Herefordshire Council, Monmouthshire County Council, Gloucestershire County Council, Powys County Council, the Forestry Commission and the Wye Valley AONB.
